Methane is significant component to greenhouse gas emissions. The Government of Alberta has committed to significantly reduce methane emissions by 45% by 2025.  In addition to regulatory requirements,  the Government of Alberta's TIER system provides support for technology and innovation in methane emissions management.  Two programs supported by the TIER system are:

• Baseline and Reduction Opportunity (BRO) Assessment Program
• Methane Technology Implementation Program (MTIP)  

The Alberta Government has selected Carbon Connect International as the delivery agent for the BRO Assessment Program and MTIP.  Details of these programs can be found on the CCI website.

EOE Solutions Ltd. is a qualified service provider that can assist operators in applying for these programs.

The Baseline and Reduction Opportunity (BRO) Assessment Program is one of Alberta's emissions management and reduction initiatives.  This program allows eligible oil and gas operators to,

• inventory methane emitting devices and equipment
• identify and quantify sources of methane emissions on site
• identify what's required to comply with the provincial regulatory requirements 
• gather and provide data to assess potential projects 
• apply for funding through provincial or federal programs and/or offset credit systems

The Alberta Government has selected Carbon Connect International as the delivery agent for the BRO Assessment program. 

As a qualified service provider EOE Solutions Ltd. can assist with program application through the CCI website.  We also have the expertise to complete the required assessments for operators, prepare the required reports, and submit for approval. We can help find cost-effective opportunities which go beyond provincial requirements.

The Methane Technology Implementation Program (MTIP) is a program funded through the Alberta Program that allows eligible oil and gas operators incentives to purchase emissions reducing equipment for use in their operations. MTIP is delivered through Carbon Connect International.
